Will I own my agency?

Yes, each member retains ownership of their agency. Each member enters into a joint-venture agreement with AHA to create growth and development for that agency.

What does one-on-one mentorship do for my agency?

AHA provides “backroom support” and the expertise and guidance that new agents need but can’t afford. AHA conducts one-on-one training that the agency principal does not have time to provide.

AHA is committed to customizing the training required for each different member. AHA also offers ongoing mentorship and coaching in Commercial Lines Sales.

How Does AHA handle access to markets?

There are two modes for access to markets:

  • Direct Appointments is the primary method of access. The agent receives direct codes and access to carriers.
  • Access Plus is the secondary mode of access available to the agent. If the agent cannot place business with direct-coded carriers, they can access other carriers through the AHA/SIAA carrier list.

Does AHA provide additional income opportunities?

Because of the strength and size of SIAA, our agents are afforded the highest commissions in the industry. AHA has established unique bonus and override opportunities with all carriers at both the national and local levels.

Does AHA address perpetuation needs?

Yes, the AHA joint-venture contract provides an opportunity to perpetuate your agency when you are ready to sell or retire.

What kind of agencies does AHA look for?

AHA currently has over 150 members from these varying beginnings:

  • Agents leaving Direct Writers and Captive Companies
  • Producers who want to start their own agency
  • Life Health and Financial agencies who want to add a P&C division to their operations
  • Independent agencies that need to grow and perpetuate to another generation of owners
